Cincinnatus Coaching

Cincinnatus Track Club was established with a clear objective: to propel the Cincinnati running community to greater heights. Coaching allows us to continue that pursuit by imparting our knowledge and experience to runners of all levels and taking the journey together.

Personalized Coaching

This program is aimed to meet runners where they are now and help them reach their highest goals. Whether you just picked up running, you're trying to qualify for Boston, or you want to qualify to join Cincinnatus Elite, let's take the journey together!

Adaptable Training

Sometimes running is about finding the right recipe which can be an ongoing process. With the Adaptable Training plan, you and your coach will communicate regularly and adjust the plan as you go. We will always keep your feedback in mind to make sure you're hitting the progress points along the way.

Set up for Success

Our mission is to provide you with the necessary expertise and resources to excel in your athletic endeavors. Whether you're refining your abilities for the mile or gearing up for the marathon, be confident that we've got all your needs covered.

Meet the Coaches

Distance Coaches: Jack and Kyle

Friends and training partners Jack Randall and Kyle Klingler first met through the University of Cincinnati Running Club. In 2019, they founded Cincinnatus Elite, which later grew into Cincinnatus Track Club. Guided by the mantra “hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard,” they’ve built running careers defined by consistent, deliberate improvement at every distance, from the mile through the marathon.

Through our distance program, you’ll work closely with both coaches. With collaborative guidance, a smart training plan, and your own determination, you can reach your goals—even the ones that feel out of reach today. We welcome runners of all levels, from beginners to BQ hopefuls and beyond.

We’re excited to coach passionate, hard‑working athletes who are ready to chase their best.

Sprint Coach: Ty

A 3‑time Big Ten Champion and NCAA All‑American, Ty’s journey is defined by relentless improvement. He entered college at the Ohio State University as a recruited walk‑on and finished as a team captain, earning the respect of teammates and coaches through discipline, consistency, and a deep love for the sport.

With competitive experience ranging from the 60m to the 800m, Ty understands the technical demands of sprinting and the mindset required to excel. He’s passionate about helping sprinters in the area who are ready to commit to the “little things” that create big breakthroughs — from mechanics and race strategy to recovery and mental preparation.

If you’re looking for a coach who’s been where you want to go — and knows how to get you there — Ty is ready to help you level up and chase your fastest self.

Testimonials

Rachel Zavakos

I connected with Jack and Kyle while looking for more accountability and direction in my training after several failed attempts to get back into more serious running since a Summer 2021 stress fracture.

They more than delivered in this, paying careful attention to not ramping up too fast or setting unrealistic expectations when I was starting from basically square one. I really liked their personalized approach and thoughtful plan every two weeks – readily adapting based on my performance on runs, around sickness, and travel schedules to help me get to the start line feeling confident!

Although a hip injury flaring up during the race kept me from my goal time, this past season helped reinstate my confidence and build back my endurance and speed. I can 100% attribute this to Kyle and Jack’s thorough training plan through CTC Coaching.

Dave Minner

I attribute a major part of my running progression and specifically achieving my marathon goal time to putting in a full training block under the guidance of Cincinnatus Elite coaching. Receiving the training in two-week blocks and getting consistent feedback on both my workouts as well as my comments and questions ended up being the perfect setup for me.

I realized throughout this training block that I had some blind spots that I would’ve missed if left to my own devices and more importantly the exposure to new workouts with goal paces gave me confidence on the start line.

Looking forward to working with Jack and Kyle again for my next goal race!

Jack and Kyle completely transformed my mindset—not only when it comes to running, but also in terms of my life goals. I was never a runner, and coming off foot surgery, I was determined but clueless about the new hobby I wanted to try. They took the time to understand my situation and goals, creating a customized plan that helped me build strength and confidence with every run.

Their coaching goes far beyond just a training plan. With constant reassurance, helpful recommendations, and problem-solving, they made sure I stayed on track. Their expertise and patience are truly invaluable and unmatched.

Thanks to their support and encouragement, running has become something I genuinely enjoy—something I never would have imagined for myself. I thought I’d try one half marathon and be done, but with Jack and Kyle’s guidance, I’ve realized this is just the beginning.
Now, I find myself eagerly looking forward to the next race and can’t imagine doing it without them.
